Steve and Carina formed 'Starina' in 2008. Their music will add the perfect ambience to your wedding, party or any other function. Steve Smith
Steve began his studies at Trinity College of Music London, where he completed the G.T.C.L. course and following that he obtained a postgraduate certificate of education at Rolle College Exmouth. He then began to work for Cornwall Music Service, giving individual and group woodwind tuition, as well as playing in the area as an orchestral musician. He has also been the clarinet teacher at many independent schools in the south-west of England. With several years experience as player and coach, Steve founded the windband 'Blowzone', which became a successful performing ensemble and he remained their conductor for ten years. Steve met Carina in 2008 and together they formed Starina.
Carina Vince
Carina studied with Diana Cummings for six years at The Royal Academy of Music London, where she was awarded a G.R.S.M. and then for two post-graduate years at Trinity College London, gaining the L.T.C.L. She then began to play professionally in London and the south-east of England as soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player. Her performing engagements have also taken her to France, Spain, Russia, Canada and New Zealand. As well as being a busy performer, she also worked for Hertfordshire Music Service for 12 years, as violin teacher and coach. Carina moved to the south-west of England in 2008 where she met Steve and they became Starina.
